Investment Banking

The syllabus comprises an overview of investment banking concepts, processes, its products and services. Topics include securities and stockbroking, regulation of the securities market, financial statement analysis, equity evaluation and stockbroking operations. An understanding of the derivatives market and risk management is also provided, in relation to the compliance and regulatory framework currently adhered to investment banking. The programme provides reality and experiential learning exposures to the rules and regulations of the Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. The programme is complemented by a prominent industry leader-speaker series providing in-depth knowledge-experience sharing sessions on capital market and money market activities.
Investment Banking Syllabus

The programme provides an overview of investment banking and its products and services:

  • Securities and stockbroking topics include securities market regulation, financial statement analysis and equity evaluation, and stockbroking operations and compliance.
  • An understanding of the derivatives market and risk management is provided, together with the compliance and regulatory framework in investment banking.
  • Reality and experiential learning include – business exposures to Securities Commission (SC) and Bursa Malaysia. This is complemented by a prominent industry leader-speaker series of knowledge-experience sharing sessions.
  • An element of personal development programme includes interpersonal skills, speechcraft, customer service and English writing skills.
